Benjamin Franklin, one of the most influential Americans who ever lived, once said (and we paraphrase) that you can’t depend on anything besides death and taxes. We’d like to add something more positive to that short list: the Ford F-250 Super Duty. It’s a best-seller for a reason – generations of hard-working folks like you have depended on the Super Duty to haul the heaviest loads and move the most stuff. It’s a truck that works as hard as you do, and after over 12 million miles of testing, Ford is confident that the newest F-250 Super Duty is the best one yet. The F-250 offers class-leading torque, incredible payload capacity, superior comfort and finish, and the rugged dependability that you demand from your four-wheeled workhorse. A powerful selection of engines, combined with a wide range of bed and cab configurations and trim levels allow you to tailor your truck to your specific needs. Each and every detail of the Ford F-250 Super Duty has been engineered to outperform your expectations for years to come. Everyone needs a sidekick – yours should be a Ford F-250 Super Duty.
“Depending on how it's equipped, the Super Duty is capable of hauling up to 8,000 pounds of payload or towing up to 40,000 pounds worth of trailer. Supplementing these efforts are gobs of new tech that make driving and towing safer and more convenient, including a blind-spot-monitoring system for fifth-wheel and gooseneck trailering.” – Car & Driver | “Finally, I had an opportunity to take a short drive in the F-250 Lariat with the larger V8 engine. The ride was solid and comfortable, but most surprising was how quiet the cabin remained. Virtually no road or wind noise came into the cabin. While I had no means of measuring the decibels, the quiet was on par with a luxury car.” – J.D. Power |
Returning after a significant refresh last year, only a handful of small changes have been made to the legendary Ford Super Duty for the 2024 model year. Flex-fuel capability has been added to the standard 6.8-liter gas V8 engine. Next, navigation is now included as standard on XLT trim levels and above. Lastly, the available in-bed scales are now offered as an option on XL and XLT trim levels of the Ford Super Duty.
No matter how you use your F-250 Super Duty, Ford has you covered with enough muscle to get the job done – and give you some bragging rights to hold over the other guys. The standard 6.8-liter SOHC gasoline V8 offers impressive low-end grunt, but for those who demand the most torque, a powerful Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V8 is available. With 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque, there won’t be much that stands in your way. In addition, a 7.3-liter gas V8 is also available, offering impressive power and torque for its class. In fact, it’s the largest, most powerful gasoline V8 offered by anyone. There’s not a loser in the bunch – all three offer exceptional performance. If you want to talk about power-to-weight ratio, it’s good to remember that the F-250 Super Duty is the only truck in its class to offer a military-grade aluminum-alloy body. Not only is the Super Duty’s body lightweight, it’s also incredibly strong and more resistant to dents and dings than standard steel bodies. Do we even need to mention its superior corrosion resistance? Keep your Super Duty nicer, for longer.
The interior of the F-250 Super Duty is an ideal place for work or play. The team at Ford knows that many of their customers spend a lot of time in their trucks, so they made it a pleasant place to spend time. Standard voice-activated SYNC® 4 makes infotainment tasks a snap, from calling a contractor hands-free to playing your favorite songs on a long trip without taking your eyes off the road to switch tracks. You can lower the tailgate from the cabin at the push of a button, and just in case the bed isn’t roomy enough, the F-250 Super Duty boasts a one-of-a-kind flat rear load floor and dual glove boxes to keep valuables out of sight. If you demand the highest level of comfort and convenience from your truck, the Limited trim offers Active Motion® massage seats that are specially contoured to provide optimal support. And if the job is so demanding that you need to sleep in the Super Duty, there are available Max Recline seats that fold almost completely flat.
You need a rugged, capable truck to rely on. That’s why Ford engineers packed the F-250 Super Duty with innovative driver assistance technology. It’s good to have a partner that always has your back. Adaptive cruise control makes long trips towing heavy cargo a breeze, and adaptive steering makes parking nearly effortless. Helping with parking and towing is a whole array of cameras, including a 360-degree trailer camera, and a unique “tailgate down” camera, to make reversing easier even when the usual backup camera won’t work. On-board scales help make sure that your payload is arranged properly for optimal balance. If you plan to do a lot of towing with your Super Duty pickup, it’s worth noting that Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Trailer Reverse Guidance are available as options – options the other guys don’t even offer yet.
If you need additional capability, the Ford F-350 and F-450 Super Duty offer even more performance. Optional dual rear wheels offer support for 5th-wheel gooseneck trailers, and towing capacities up to 40,000 pounds can be realized, when properly equipped (F-450 Regular Cab 4X2). The Ford F-250 Super Duty is a serious machine, but the F-350 and F-450 are available if you need to take things to the next level.
