About the Ford E-Transit

Revolutionizing the way that your business stays productive and profitable, the all-electric Ford E-Transit combines seamless efficiency with outstanding convenience and capability. Fight back against rising fuel prices and boost your bottom line by making the switch to this dynamic EV cargo van. Featuring a maximum driving range of up to 159 miles**, the E-Transit also makes no sacrifices on performance thanks to a combined system output of 266 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. With options to charge your van at your business location, at home at the end of the workday, and at public locations when you’re on the go – you’ll never have to worry about range anxiety ever again. Standard FordPro™ Telematics Essentials make it simple to view, monitor, and adjust the productivity levels of your team as well. Three individual roof heights and two body lengths mean that there’s certainly a Ford E-Transit that’s perfectly suited to the unique needs of your trade or business.

What the Critics Say

"The E-Transit shows the extent to which Ford is doubling down on its commitment to EVs. Delivery culture has swept the world by storm, as has a growing concern about the environmental impact of emissions from the trucks and vans that are carrying goods. In a bid to lessen some of the damage from delivery vehicles, Ford has embraced electrification of the Transit." — Motortrend

"As you might imagine, storage is where this cargo van shines. In our test car's low-roof, standard-length configuration it has a maximum cargo capacity of 277.7 cubic feet of cargo space. Frankly, that felt like a large enough space to live in for an extended amount of time, and with the option to add Pro Power Onboard (an option that turns the E-Transit into a massive power supply), we wouldn't be surprised if the E-Transit was soon picked up as the next big thing in the #vanlife movement." — Edmunds

What's New for 2024

The all-electric Ford E-Transit adds even more range and capability for the 2024 model year. Thanks to the addition of a larger 89 kWh replacing last year’s 68 kWh unit, the E-Transit now delivers a total range of up to 159 all-electric miles on low roof models. All models also receive a second onboard charger that boosts peak charging rates to 176 kW for faster charge times. Similar to the rest of the all-electric Ford lineup, the E-Transit is now compatible with the Tesla Supercharger network of nationwide charging stations. Finally, all models receive a keyless entry and start system and select models gain updated HID headlights for the 2024 model year.

Ford E-Transit Features

All-Electric Capability

Ready to go the distance, the Ford E-Transit is a refreshing alternative to the cumbersome and thirsty work vans of the past. Equipped with a 89 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and electric motor, the E-Transit boasts a combined system output of 266 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. Better still, you’ll enjoy up to 159 miles of all-electric driving range on a fully-charged battery**. Rather than needlessly shelling out your hard-earned profits at the gas station, simply plug in and charge at the end of the work day to wake up to a full charge each morning. Clever positioning of the battery low within the chassis boosts interior cargo space while keeping the on-road driving manners of the E-Transit planted and smooth. The experts at Ford Pro™ can help you choose a qualified installer for a Connected Charge Station, allowing you to charge your E-Transit from 0 to 100% in as little as 6 hours. An available Mobile Charging Cord is also offered to give you greater flexibility when on the job site or commuting long distances. Drivers can also take advantage of the growing BlueOval Charge Network – the largest public charging network in North America.

Engineered for Work

Ready to adapt to the specific needs of your trade, business, or industry – the Ford E-Transit is available with a wide range of innovative features that can help you work both smarter and harder. A perfect example is available Pro Power Onboard, a dedicated supply of 2.4 kW of power that’s perfect for powering lights, tools, and other equipment even on the most remote of job sites. Three roof heights and two body lengths offer the versatility you need to stay ahead of your competition. In fact, the high roof configuration allows individuals as tall as 6 feet 9 inches to stand up straight while simultaneously delivering a jaw-dropping 487 cubic feet of cargo space. Maximum payload ratings of up to 3,997 pounds prove that the Ford E-Transit is ready to work as hard as you do.

Tech-Focused Interior

The same forward-thinking innovation that’s found on the powertrain of the Ford E-Transit translates to the interior as well. Standard SYNC® 4 with its 12-inch touchscreen display provides seamless access to all of your favorite multimedia features. This groundbreaking system integrates with FordPro™ Telematics Essentials, giving business owners the freedom and flexibility to monitor the productivity of their fleet and team. An available Wi-Fi hotspot and over-the-air software updates let you transform your E-Transit into a mobile office, no matter where your next job takes you. Adding an extra layer of confidence behind the wheel, every E-Transit also comes equipped with advanced driver-assistive safety technologies. Examples include adaptive cruise control with traffic sign recognition, blind spot assist, and a 360-degree camera to help you stay one step ahead of danger.
